UNSW Australia Business School Scholarships

The UNSW Australia Business School International high-achievers scholarship is designed for outstanding international students and graduates from its pathway partner institutions in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam.

Value

$10,000 applied equally across two semesters

In addition, recipients receive other benefits including:

  • Academic mentors being appointed to provide advice and support
  • Invitations to a range of special events, e.g. Dean’s Welcome, Meet the CEO series, career workshops, career mentoring events, etc.
  • Opportunity to be selected as a student ambassador to participate and assist at some UNSW Business School events
Eligibility

To be considered for the Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be an international student
  • Be a graduate or an articulating student from one of the nominated pathway partner institutions (see below)
  • Not have previously undertaken any tertiary studies, or deferred a full offer for an undergraduate business degree at UNSW
  • Receive a full offer to start in Semester 2, 2015 for one of the following undergraduate degrees offered by UNSW Business School:
    • Bachelor of Actuarial Studies (3586)
    • Bachelor of Commerce (3502)
    • Bachelor of Commerce (International) (3558)
    • Bachelor of Economics (3543)
    • Bachelor of Information Systems (3979)
Selection Process

Applicants for the Scholarship are required to:

  • Complete a UNSW Scholarships application form
  • Submit a letter of recommendation from the Principal or Dean (or equivalent) at the nominated pathway partner institution
  • Submit a copy of your academic transcripts or results of your studies at the nominated pathway partner institution
  • Submit other relevant documentation to support the application

Applicants will be assessed on the following criteria:

  • Academic excellence (e.g. a “Very Good” or “Distinction” grade) in their studies at the nominated pathway partner institution
  • Reasons for undertaking a business degree at UNSW
  • Participation in extra-curricular activities
  • Interests and career aspirations
  • Work experience (if any)
